TORONTO – Former Utes Kim Smith (Gaucher), Michelle Plouffe and Shona Thorburn helped the Canadian National Team earn its first-ever Gold Medal at the 2015 Pan American Games last weekend in Toronto.
Team Canada went 5-0 in the event with Smith (Gaucher) averaged 7.6 points and 5.4 rebounds per contest during the tournament. Thorburn dished out 2.4 assists per contest, while Plouffe poured in 2.4 points a game for Team Canada.
