SALT LAKE CITY — It took a quarter of play before Utah’s offense got into a rhythm and the Utes rolled over visiting UCLA, beating the Bruins 48-17 in a must-win game for both programs.
The win for Utah (5-4, 2-4) snaps a four-game losing streak and puts the Utes one game closer to becoming bowl eligible with three games left in the regular season. Sophomore quarterback Tyler Huntley threw for 234 yards and three touchdowns on 15-of-22 passing, showcasing a diverse offense.
Utah jumped on the board first with a 3-yard rushing touchdown by Zack Moss in the first quarter.
