SALT LAKE CITY — Utah football is headed to the farm in hopes of upsetting No. 14 Stanford Saturday after back-to-back losses to the two Washington schools to open up conference play. Meanwhile, the Cardinal are looking to bounce back from a demoralizing defeat to No. 6 Notre Dame and reclaiming its spot as a College Football Playoff contender.
The matchup Saturday is Utah’s third consecutive opponent from the North division. It’s also an opportunity to finally make a statement in Pac-12 play this season after a disappointing start to conference play. Utah remains winless in conference play and is looking for momentum ahead of a vital South division stretch of play.
