SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah basketball team won an exhibition game Thursday night, but it wasn’t the upperclassmen that led the way for the Utes. Instead, it was a couple of freshmen.
In a matchup against the visiting College of Idaho, the Runnin' Utes defeated the Yotes 96-76 behind the scoring of freshmen Timmy Allen and Both Gach who finished with a combined 30 points.
“It’s surreal, it still doesn’t really feel real,” Allen said, speaking about playing his first game at the Huntsman Center. “I’m just out there playing my game, taking what the defense gives me.
