Utah freshman guard Devon Daniels has been suspended indefinitely because of conduct detrimental to the team. Coach Larry Krystkowiak announced the decision in a statement hours before a game at Colorado on Thursday night.
Daniels has started 26 of 27 games for the Utes and his 10.4 points per game are the fourth-most on the team. His 74 assists ranks No. 2 on the team.
A 6-foot-5 forward from Battle Creek, Michigan, Daniels was a three-star recruit, according to 247Sports.
He did not travel with the Utes (17-10, 8-7 Pac-12) to Colorado.
Utah has lost its past four games on the road and is in danger of missing the NCAA Tournament.
