Daneesha Provo will become the 14th Canadian basketball player to suit up for Utah's women's basketball team since 1997 — the first to come care of Clemson.
Provo left Clemson 12 games into her true freshman season for personal reasons, returning to Nova Scotia to live with her family after averaging 5.2 points and 2.2 rebounds in 15.1 minutes.
She will sit out the 2015-16 season and have three years to play three starting in 2016-17.
Provo joins Canadians Emily Potter and Paige Crozon in Salt Lake. New head coach Lynne Roberts said she won't abandon the pipeline started by longtime coach Elaine Elliott and kept alive under Anthony Levrets.
