Cinderella Man and The Miracle are two of my favorite sports movies. Both feature amazing underdog, comeback stories and end with the victor enjoying the glory. The battle for starting quarterback for the Utah Utes allows for one of two players to enjoy such glory:
Travis Wilson or Kendal Thompson.
Kendal Thompson
Thompson has been beat back multiple times in his college football career. First, he was denied the starting QB job at Oklahoma. Then he suffered from a season ending knee injury last season for the Utes.
