The Utah Utes are headed to the Holiday Bowl to take on the Northwestern Wildcats. Coming into today, the talk was the Sun Bowl was likely for Utah with the Holiday Bowl having interest in the Oregon Ducks, but it sounds like there was a lot of lobbying from Utah to get the Holiday Bowl. (Way to go Utah administration and fans for making this happen!)
The Holiday Bowl in San Diego on New Year’s Eve is a great destination, and Northwestern is a great opponent. I really like this matchup. Northwestern won the Big 10 West but fell to the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Big 10 Championship.
