It seems that Associated Press voters and coaches around college football took notice of Utah's win over Michigan to start the season. Utah was effectively ranked No. 30 in the first AP Poll and Coaches Poll, so they moved up five spots in the Coaches Poll and six spots in the AP Poll following their victory over the Wolverines.
