Utah has announced their hired BYU wide receiver coach Guy Holliday to the same position. Utah also announced that tight end coach Lewis Powell will move to the defensive line coach. The coaching hires were not done there, Fred Whittingham Jr., was hired as tight end coach and recruiting coordinator. Holliday previously coached wide receivers for three seasons at BYU under former head coach Bronco Mendenhall. Prior to returning to his alma mater, Powell coaches the defensive line at Hawaii for three seasons. Whittingham Jr. was the Director of Player Personnel for three seasons. Utah now no longer has any openings on its 2016 coaching staff.
