The win pushes Utah to 2-0, but not without sustaining some key injuries. Quarterback Travis Wilson and starting defensive end Hunter Dimick both sustained injuries that forced them to watch the second half from the the sideline in street clothes. While Whittingham said neither injury was season ending, the play of the Utes on both sides of the ball suffered.
