The first press release of Utah's fall camp — which opens Thursday — has a few tidbits worth sharing:
• L.A. Harbor transfer Cory Butler will begin fall camp at wide receiver, even after Kyle Whittingham hinted at Pac-12 Media Days that Butler might start at cornerback to offset the absence of expected starter Dominique Hatfield. That may change, however. In fact, Whittingham hinted that Butler might play on both sides of the ball, in addition to returning kicks.
• Freshman Caleb Repp — at 6-foot-4, 202 pounds — was billed as a lanky athlete who could fill out at defensive end, a la Nate Orchard and Trevor Reilly.
