SALT LAKE CITY — Coming off a disappointing Thanksgiving loss, Utah bounced back to claim a 75-66 victory over the Grand Canyon Antelopes in the consolation round of the Wooden Legacy tournament Friday.
Utah entered the game Friday with more energy and pushed to a quick 10-2 run to open the matchup. The Utes never trailed in the game and led by as much as 16 in the first half as they comfortably found a rhythm on offense. The Antelopes, though, cut the lead to 2 points to open up the second half and continued the back-and-forth battle for the remainder of the game.
