It's been a great year for Utah athletics on the playing field. Men's basketball returned to the Sweet-16, the football team returned to a bowl game, and was in the top-25 most of the season, the gymnastics program won another Pac-12 title, and the softball team had a great year by making it to Tennessee regional of the NCAA woman's softball tournament.
Today, it was announced by the NCAA that the Utes performed well in classroom this past year, as well. In the report, the big programs (football, men's basketball and gymnastics), all had very good years. Being an alumnus of the University of Utah, it's nice to know that the coaches actually stress academics and represent the university the right way - instead of using the program as a minor league development program for the likes of the NFL or NBA.
