Utah AD Chris Hill talks stadium renovations, Pac-12 Network, BYU scheduling and more

"We have some energy for what we think the next four years is," he said. "For me, I'm excited about what we're doing. We've got some things we want to accomplish, and it's fun. Most people think it's so hard, but 90 percent of the time, it's a blast."

There's good reason for Hill to be upbeat: In Utah's fourth year in the Pac-12, the football, men's basketball, volleyball, softball, gymnastics, ski team and men's swimming team have all enjoyed national rankings this year — some have enjoyed their best years to date in the Pac-12. While Hill said the Utes are not "loaded" in terms of their budget as some fans believe and will be stretching a little more with as they add cost of attendance stipends to their expenses, he observed that Utah has made a leap in its four years in the Pac-12.
