SEATTLE - Sophomore Madison Lanford finished 12th in the heptathlon to lead the Utah track and field team on the first weekend of the Pac-12 Championships.
Lanford finished with 4,262 points. She ran a personal-best time in the 800 (2:29.56) with a mark of 4.83 meters (15'10.25") in the long jump and had a throw of 26.15 meters (85'9") in the javelin.
Freshman Lauren McCluskey also competed but did not finish, completing five of the seven events. She had a jump of 15'0.75" (4.83m) in the long jump to start the day.
