CLOVIS, Calif. - Utah freshman Chrissy Glasmann finished sixth in the javelin at the USATF Junior Outdoor Championships on Friday evening, finishing on the podium in the event.
Glasmann's best throw of the night was 146'7" (44.68m).
Glasmann had a season-best throw of 158'10" (48.42m) which won the Utah Spring Classic earlier this year and was the second-best mark in the Pac-12. The mark ranks second all-time at Utah.
Glasmann is among several Utes in recent years to finish among the top six at this meet, including Sarah Feeny (2nd in the 1,500 in 2015), Susannah Hurst Spencer (5th in the 5,000 in 2012), Rebekah Winterton (5th in the 5,000 in 2011) and Shaylen Crook (6th in the 5,000 in 2015).
