After leading Utah to a 34-17 record, including seven wins against top-25 teams, head coach Amy Hogue was named Pac-12 Coach of the Year on Wednesday. Hogue is in her eighth season with the Utes and is the first Utah coach to receive the honor since the university joined the conference.
“On behalf of my entire coaching staff, I am thrilled about the honor we have received,” Hogue said in a university release. “The [Pac-12 Coach of the Year] award may have my name on it, but I know that it was a team effort and I could not have gotten this without the support of my staff.
