SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Utah football certainly sends its fans on a roller-coaster ride when it steps on the field.
Wednesday night was no different when the Utes competed in the Foster Farms Bowl.
In a frustrating, nail-biting fashion, No. 19 Utah beat Indiana (6-7) 26-24 to win its 14th bowl game in its past 15 postseason games. Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham also improved his bowl game record to an astounding 10-1, leading the NCAA.
Star running back and Foster Farms Bowl Offensive MVP Joe Williams rushed for a Foster Farms Bowl record 222 yards and a touchdown while kicker “Automatic” Andy Phillips kicked a 27-yard field goal to seal the Utes’ win.
