Red Rocks Defeat BYU 196.175-193.850 to Open 2016 Season

The No. 4 Utah Red Rocks (1-0, 0-0 Pac-12) defeated the BYU Cougars (0-1) 196.175-193.850 at the Huntsman Center under seventh year co-head coach Megan Marsden and first year co-head coach Tom Farden. This is Farden's first win as a head coach at Utah. The announced attendance at the Huntsman Center was 15,023. BYU is led by first year coach and former U.S. National team gymnast, Guard Young.

The Red Rocks started out on vault and looked solid as usual, scoring a 48.950. This was the Red Rocks lowest scoring event on the night, but vault scores will be lower this year due to a change in vault scoring (you can read more about the changes here).
