Oregon gave up 530 yards of offense in its 62-20 loss to Utah on Saturday night in Eugene. Defensive coordinator Don Pellum summed up the loss by saying that it was the toughest day of work he's ever had.
"Whatever your toughest day of work is, that was the toughest day of work," said Pellum.
The Utes were able to convert six of 13 third downs and were two for two on fourth-down conversions.
"We weren't able to get the stops, particularly early," Pellum said.
Oregon's defense allowed five passing touchdowns on the night and Utah's 62 points were the most by an opponent in Eugene since Washington State scored 55 in 2003.
