It was senior night for the No. 5 Michigan gymnastics team (9-4, 4-1 Big Ten), but that did not stop the No. 6 Utah Red Rocks (8-1, 5-1 Pac-12) from defeating Michigan for the first time in Ann Arbor, Mich. since 2012 with a score of 197.525-197.050. This marks the sixth straight week the Red Rocks have scored better than 197.000.
"I told the team we are rounding into championship form," said co-head coach Tom Farden. "I liked the demeanor, which was light and fun. They're at their best when they are having fun and they had fun from start to finish tonight.
