No. 4 Utah Red Rocks Defeat No. 19 Washington 197.150-196.300

The No. 4 Utah Red Rocks (6-0, 1-0 Pac-12) won their Pac-12 opener at the No. 19 Washington GymDawgs (2-5, 0-2 Pac-12) 197.150-196.300. Despite the win, the Red Rocks suffered a loss before the meet, freshman gymnast Kim Tessen was lost for the season with a torn Achilles. Tessen is the second gymnast lost to a season-ending injury for Utah this season, along with sophomore Sabrina Schwab, who suffered an ACL injury in practice the week of the quad meet.

"We are obviously devastated for Kim," said co-head coach Tom Farden. "We coaches are so proud of this team, though, and how they came out after losing Kim and fought their way through it.
