STANFORD, Calif. — The Utes came in to Stanford Stadium Saturday night and acted as lumberjacks for nearly three hours, causing the 14th-ranked Cardinal to fall. Utah’s 40-21 win ended Stanford’s 11-game win streak at home.
“We lost to a very good football team in Utah,” Stanford head coach David Shaw said. “Coach (Kyle) Whittingham has done a great job for years there with his football team.”
The Utes have won four of the last five games against the Cardinal and is undefeated with a 4-0 record at Stanford Stadium. They’re also 2-0 against Stanford when the North division team is ranked.
