SALT LAKE CITY — It’s impossible to recap one of the best days in NBA history, but here is just a short attempt.
The Golden State Warriors became the first team in NBA history to win 73 games in a single season, surpassing the Chicago Bulls’ record of 72 wins set in the 1995-96 season. But it was Kobe Bryant, the Black Mamba, scoring 60 points in his final game of his career that had everyone talking.
The night started out with a touching tribute to Kobe, recapping his dominant and ultimately competitive career.
The Jazz, who took a backseat to the special night, controlled much of the game until Kobe decided to give it his all in the final minutes of the game.
