Tulsa, OK – The University of Utah men’s tennis team started the 2015 ITA All-American Championships off successfully, remaining undefeated during the first round of the pre-qualifying draw.
“We beat two players out of the top 100 of the ITF and still have all players active in the draw, so it definitely was a nice way to start the tournament,” said head coach Roeland Brateanu. “But it’s just the first day and we have set our goals higher than just reaching the second round.”
Senior Matt Cowley earned the biggest win of the day defeating Daniel Santos (University of Tulsa), 6-4, 6-3.
