SALT LAKE CITY - Utah men's tennis players Santiago Sierra and Matt Cowley were named ITA Scholar Athletes for their accomplishments in the classroom during the 2014-2015 school year.
Cowley, a Pac-12 honorable mention all-academic selection, has a 3.34 GPA in psychology and Sierra currently maintains a 3.88 GPA after completing his freshman year with the Utes.
In order to earn ITA Scholar Athlete status a player must be a varsity letter winner, have a GPA of 3.5 or better for the current academic year and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters.
