SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah men’s tennis team was defeated at the Eccles Tennis Center by the #41 Stanford Cardinal on Sunday afternoon.
“I’m proud of the way we competed both days. I think we showed that we can play with some of the best programs in the country but both days we missed some opportunities.” Said head coach Roeland Brateanu.
Senior Matt Cowley and freshman Dan Little opened up the day with a 6-3 win over Tom Fawcett and Maciek Romanowicz.
Stanford evened things up by Yale Goldberg and Sameer Kumar defeating senior Jamey Swiggart and sophomore Johan Jonhagen 6-2.
