First Round Results

KAUAI, Hawaii – The Utah men’s golf team is in 17th-place after carding a 23-over par (311) in the first round of play at the John A. Burns Intercollegiate, which is being held at the Wailua Golf Course in Kauai, Hawaii.

Utah heads into the second round of action 35 strokes behind Texas, who leads the tournament with a first-round score of 12-under par (276). Tournament host, Hawaii, is in fifth-place with a score of 3-over par (291).

Rounding out the top-5 teams were California, who is in second-place after carding even par (288), Washington State and Arizona, shooting 2-over par (290) to sit in a tie for third-place.
