SAN FRANCISCO - Utah sophomore forward Jakob Poeltl has been named the Pac-12 Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for a fourth time this season, the league office announced on Monday. Poeltl became the conference's first unanimous vote of the season.
Poeltl, who became the first Utah player to be named a Pac-12 Player of the Week three times in one season, now becomes the first player in program history to earn the honor four times. He also becomes the first Utah player to be named a conference player of the week at least four times in a season since Luke Nevill was tabbed a five-time player of the week honoree when the Utes were a member of the Mountain West Conference back in the 2008-09 campaign.
