SALT LAKE CITY — Jarred DuBois played for the Runnin’ Utes in the 2012-13 season when he spent his own money to buy and make lunches for the homeless denizens of Utah.

After graduation, he continued his efforts to feed the hungry with a nonprofit called “Everyone has a Story.”

DuBois and other current and former Utah athletes continued their tradition this week with the Lunch Bag Project. The idea is to make and give thousands of sack lunches to the homeless in downtown Salt Lake City, spreading holiday cheer and getting a glimpse into how the other half lives.
