The No. 20 Utah Utes (9-3) and the BYU Cougars (9-3) square off today in just a few hours in the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl. The hype for the matchup has been building and has turned a usually forgettable early season bowl game into a potential must-see matchup. Utah and BYU were supposed to take a two-year hiatus from the Holy War, but it got started a year early with the first-ever bowl meeting between the two in-state rivals. This will be BYU head coach Bronco Mendenhall's final game at BYU. He accepted a job at Virginia but opted to stay on at BYU for the bowl game.
