SALT LAKE CITY - Behind strong finishes from gymnastics and skiing, Utah broke into the top 25 in the Capital One Cup women's standings following the winter sports seasons.
With 17 total points from gymnastics and skiing, the Utes currently stand 23rd, which is Utah's highest ranking in the history of the award. The Utes have finished in the top 50 the past three years.
The Capital One Cup is an NCAA athletics award honoring the top Division 1 men's and women's college athletics program in the country.
Gymnastics placed second at the 2015 NCAA Championships, finishing five-hundredths of a point behind Florida.
