Möttölä isn't the only one who thinks so. College coaches, including Utah's Larry Krystkowiak who visited Finland in April, have come to see the rising prospect in person. Some of them have told Möttölä that if Markkanen lived in the U.S., he would be a candidate for the McDonald's All-American team.
But for now, they'll have to admire his game from afar — that is until he visits Utah, North Carolina and Arizona this October to decide where he'll attend school in the states. He's scheduled to visit the weekend of Oct. 10, incidentally the same weekend Möttölä and the rest of the 1998 Utes are scheduled to be inducted into the Crimson Club Hall of Fame.
