LOS ANGELES — Former Utah baseball star C.J. Cron was in the middle of one of the hottest streaks of his career.
And on Saturday, the Angels pulled him.
Cron left Friday’s 9-5 win over Baltimore after being hit by a pitch in the left hand in the sixth inning, and Angels manager Mike Sciascia announced they have placed him on the 15-day disabled list.
“It’s a blow to us and to C.J.,” Sciascia told reporters Friday. “He had really picked it up and started to become productive the way we know he can.
