SALT LAKE CITY — Eric Weddle is headed home.
The former University of Utah star has agreed to terms on a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Rams, the club announced Friday afternoon.
Weddle was cut three days ago by the Baltimore Ravens, but the six-time Pro Bowl safety didn’t take long to strike a new deal. Despite making three-straight Pro Bowls with the Ravens, Weddle was due a $6.5 million base salary in 2019 if his option was not picked up.
The deal was first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter before it was announced by the Rams.
