SALT LAKE CITY—The Utah football program took advantage of its 10-3, Pac-12 South Division co-championship season by adding 24 recruits on National Signing Day. Eighteen of the scholarships were awarded to high school prospects and six players were signed out of the junior college ranks.
“We feel we were able to put together an outstanding recruiting class,” said Utah coach Kyle Whittingham. “While quarterback and linebacker were our primary focus, we addressed our needs across the board. Our assistant coaches did an outstanding job targeting the right guys and we were able to win many head-to-head battles for some highly sought after recruits.
