SALT LAKE CITY – Utah scored 10 unanswered second-half points to break a 14-14 halftime tie and a strong second-half defense lifted the Utah football team to a 24-14 victory over Utah State on Friday evening.

With Utah starting quarterback Travis Wilson sidelined after a first-half injury, Kendal Thompson put Utah ahead 20-14 on the Utes first drive of the second half with a two-yard rush after a 69-yard, 12-play drive over 6:35.
