SEATTLE — Utah gymnastics entered Saturday’s Pac-12 championship seeking to win its third-consecutive conference title. Instead, it fell short to UCLA 197.250-196.925.
The Red Rocks finished second, tying with Oregon State and finishing ahead of California (196.725), Stanford (196.125), Arizona (195.525), Washington (195.3) and Arizona State (191.725). They also remain the only team to finish in the top three at every Pac-12 championship.
“Obviously, we’re disappointed we didn’t win the meet because our hope and expectation is to win it every year,” said Utah co-head coach Tom Farden.
Despite falling 0.325 points behind a championship title, Utah left Alaska Airlines Arena with four event winners.
