SALT LAKE CITY- Coming off a bye week, the University of Utah women’s cross country team is ready for its first big challenge of the 2015 season as it heads to South Bend, Ind., to compete at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational on Friday. The Utes will send their top 15 runners to compete, nine in the seeded race and six in the open race. The women’s blue division seeded 5-km race is slated to begin at 2 p.m. followed by the gold division open race at 4:15 p.m. EST.
“The Notre Dame Invitational is our first opportunity to try and pick up some at large points by beating teams outside our region,” University of Utah head coach Kyle Kepler explained.
