LOS ANGELES – The Utah baseball team dropped the second of a three-game series at USC, 6-1, on Saturday afternoon.
The Utes (10-17, 7-4 Pac-12) took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning before USC (15-14, 5-3 Pac-12) scored two runs in the fourth and four runs in the fifth for the win.
The Utes were led at the plate by Max Schuman, who went 2-for-2.
Utah used four pitchers, with Dalton Carroll going5 1/3 innings in the start, allowing four runs (three earned) on eight hits with three walks and a strikeout.
