PALO ALTO, Calif. - Utah baseball dropped game two of a three-game series against Stanford, 8-1, on Saturday evening.
Stanford took a 1-0 lead in the first inning and led 5-0 after a four-run second inning.
Max Schuman led Utah at the plate with two hits.
Utah used four pitchers. Dalton Carroll pitched five innings, allowing seven runs (six earned) on five hits with two strikeouts and three walks. He falls to 4-5 with the loss. Dylan Drachler pitched one inning, allowing one hit. Trenton Stoltz also did not allow a hit in one inning pitched.
