SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah baseball team defeated Washington, 21-7, leading Utah to an outright Pac-12 Championship and earn a bid to the NCAA regional for the first time since joining the league in 2011.
Utah’s last appearance at the NCAA tournament was 2009 after winning the Mountain West Conference Tournament. The Utes find out their destination on Monday, May 30, at noon ET on ESPNU.
Utah scored five runs in the first, third, seventh and eighth innings en-route to the win. The Huskies scored five of their seven runs in the final two innings.
