LOS ANGELES - Three home runs, including a grand slam from Cody Scaggari, lifted the Utah baseball team to a 14-8 win over USC to close out the series on Sunday afternoon.
Utah scored two runs in the second, three in the third and fourth and capped its scoring with a six-run fifth. USC rallied late with three runs in the seventh, two runs in the eighth and two runs in the ninth but the Utes comfortable lead carried them to the win.
Utah had 12 hits, led by a 5-for-6 performance from Scaggari.
