SALT LAKE CITY — Missing two of their starters in overtime, Utah fell to Arizona 84-81 in a back-and-forth game in Tucson, Arizona Saturday.
Utah’s Parker Van Dyke missed a deep 3-pointer with time expiring in overtime to seal the victory for the Wildcats. The win for Arizona extends its dominance over the Utes at McKale Center, where Utah hasn’t won a game since 1968.
The Utes were led in scoring by senior Sedrick Barefield’s 26 points on 10-of-17 shooting, including 5-of-9 shooting from behind the arc. Barefield managed 19 points in the first half but got in foul trouble in the second half before fouling out with less than 2 minutes left in regulation.
