Utah added the fourth wide receiver and second Floridian to its 2016 class Sunday morning, when Demari Simpkins tweeted his commitment.
Simpkins and his Hallandale High quarterback, Tyler Huntley — who is verbally committed to Florida Atlantic — visited the U. together on Thursday.
Both Simpkins and Huntley are rated three stars by Rivals, which has ratings for 10 Hallandale players in the 2016 class.
Simpkins — listed by rivals as 5'10, 171 — had narrowed his final two to Utah and Wisconsin. Receiver is an acknowledged thin area for the Utes, who stand to lose both Kenneth Scott and Tim Patrick.
