A 9-year-old girl remains in critical condition after being struck by a truck in South Jordan on Tuesday while crossing the street.
The girl, along with two other children, were crossing 5510 West along 11800 South at 5:15 p.m. when the incident occurred. The children were using a crosswalk with the pedestrian light signaling it was safe to cross when a truck turning left onto 11800 South hit two of the three children.
The 9-year-old was flown by helicopter to Primary Children's Medical Center in critical condition. South Jordan police Sgt. Sam Winkler said Wednesday she was still in critical condition but was stable and her injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
