It isn’t going to be easy to get to grandmother’s house for Thanksgiving — or to get back home after you’ve eaten the turkey. Travel in much of Utah will be “very difficult at times” through Saturday, according to the National Weather Service — and that will be in the areas less affected by a major snowstorm that will hit most of the state beginning on Wednesday.
In the higher elevations, travel will be “very difficult to impossible.” The NWS advises anyone who has to travel in the state to keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
