Utah football coach Kyle Whittingham addressed his players' health Monday by saying only that no season-ending injuries occurred in Saturday's 21-3 victory over Arizona State.
Utah quarterback Tyler Huntley and offensive tackle Darrin Paulo didn’t finish the game, due to apparent leg injuries, raising questions about their status for Saturday’s contest vs. California at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
During his weekly news conference, Whittingham also applauded ASU coach Herm Edwards for apologizing to him about the Sun Devils’ aggressive tactics, calling it “a class move.” ASU was penalized 12 times for 122 yards, although the only clear correlation between those plays and Utah’s injuries came when running back Zack Moss underwent concussion protocol on the sideline after an ASU targeting penalty.
