Utah’s Larry Krystkowiak earned his 200th victory as a college basketball coach as the Utes never trailed Friday night in a 73-69 win over Minnesota at the Huntsman Center.
The Golden Gophers got within two points late in the game, but the Utes held on at the end as Timmy Allen made a clinching free throw with 2.7 seconds remaining.
Krystkowiak's record is 200-131 in 11 seasons at Montana and Utah, including 158-111 with the Utes in his ninth year.
Allen finished with 19 points, including a flying dunk that made it 65-59 after Rylan Jones' steal in the frontcourt.
